Built with a hybrid Carbon/Bio-Based Dyneema® layup, the Alpe d’Huez X delivers unmatched strength, vibration damping, and impact resistance. Dyneema® is 15x stronger than steel at the same weight and so light it floats on water.
By weaving Dyneema® directly into its Braided Carbon Structure (BCS), TIME has created a frame capable of absorbing rough surfaces while maintaining razor-sharp handling and class-leading stiffness.
At the heart of every TIME lies its Braided Carbon Structure – a unique process where dry fibers are woven into continuous, bi-directional tubes. This technique allows the use of multiple filament types – up to 16 in total – to precisely tune the ride characteristics.
Unlike conventional prepreg carbon construction, which introduces weak points where sheets overlap, TIME’s continuous BCS fibers run the full length of the structure, creating a frame that feels alive under power, smooth over distance, and incredibly durable across mixed terrain.
Manufactured using Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) – a process shared with the aerospace industry – every Alpe d’Huez X frame achieves near-perfect structural integrity. By injecting resin under high pressure between internal and external molds, TIME eliminates air pockets, ensuring a uniform, flawless finish.
This precision process produces a frame that’s beautiful inside and out – as strong as it is refined.
